Our mission is to reduce the energy burden of low-income through access to discounted clean energy.
Our vision is that all Baltimore residents, regardless of level of wealth or income, will have equitable access to the social, economic, and environmental benefits of clean energy through discounted solar electricity, shared ownership of solar projects, and job participation.
We develop impactful community solar projects in Baltimore that:
SOCIAL
Reduce the disproportionate energy burden borne by lower-income and disadvantaged households by increasing access to discounted solar energy.
ECONOMIC
Accelerate the green economic transition for lower-wealth communities by offering paid apprenticeships, hiring local residents, and working with local contractors.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Reduce the carbon footprint of lower-income and disadvantaged households.

The Climate Access Fund
The Climate Access Fund is a nonprofit green bank that:
1| Offers attractive financial products to solar developers who offer discounted community solar rates to low- to moderate-income and disadvantaged households;
2| Develops rooftop/infill community solar projects located in lower-wealth and disadvantaged communities in Baltimore and across Maryland; and
3| Advocates for clean energy policies that benefit lower-income and disadvantaged communities.
